COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT MANAGER

Using our mission statement as a guide, the Communications Project Manager is directly responsible for the supervision of individuals or teams to accomplish assigned projects on time, within budget, in a safe manner, and at a desired level of quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new customer relationships and maintain existing ones
  • Design-Bid-Build or alternate project delivery
  • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs
  • Lead and support the field staff in the planning and implementation of each project
  • Manage project costs related to material, labor, and equipment
  • Support a culture of safety on each project
  • Attend project progress meetings
  • Appropriately manage project challenges with effective solutions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the low-voltage communications industry
  • Technical expertise for IT, telecommunications, and low voltage systems, including but not limited to: ISP and OSP infrastructure, fiber and copper cabling design, and DAS
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with NEC, ANSI/TIA/EIA, and BICSI codes and standards
  • BICSI RCDD Certification or the ability to attain the RCDD within 1 year of employment
  • Industry manufacturer certifications are a plus
  • Strong planning, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership attributes
  • Microsoft Office software suite
  • Ability to learn new software systems

Work Hours

  • Hours are typically Monday through Friday
  • Hours are typically 1st shift

Work Conditions

Typically working in a temperature-controlled office environment

Physical Requirements

Able to lift up to 15lbs
