SECURITY TECHNICIAN

Buist is a large electrical, technology, and engineering company providing a comprehensive list of services to our customers. Buist has a security group specializing in video surveillance, access control, and visitor management systems. This is an entry-level position working alongside Buist’s lead technicians to install and service physical security systems in a variety of facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Install low-voltage wire and hardware for video surveillance, access control, and visitor management systems
Termination and testing of all electronic connections
Obtain and maintain education and certifications

Qualifications

Willingness to learn and install various types of systems
Organized and detail oriented
Strong mechanical aptitude
Strong communication skills

Work Hours

Hours are typically Monday through Friday
Hours are typically first shift
Full-time hourly

Work Conditions

Walk and stand for extended periods, use handheld equipment and power tools, work at height on ladders and lifts, lift and carry up to 50lbs
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors in extreme warm and cold conditions, as well as controlled indoor environments such as offices and server rooms
