Buist’s audio visual team was a design build partner on Midwest Energy & Communications’ (MEC) renovation of meeting spaces at their headquarters in Cassopolis, Michigan. The scope of work included full AV system upgrades in three large conference rooms, as well as the installation of room scheduling panels outside fourteen meeting spaces across the MEC campus. The renovations were completed in May 2025, with construction beginning earlier that same month.
Major technology upgrades included Sony Bravia commercial displays, Epson laser projectors, and Shure ceiling array microphones, all managed through a Q-SYS CORE 8 FLEX control system and custom-designed Buist Q-LAN interface running on iPads. Additional system components featured Visionary Solutions AVoIP encoders and decoders, Netgear AV-line switches, and Microsoft Teams-integrated Logitech TAP scheduling panels.
