Buist Electric has been helping BISSELL accomplish their goal of having a more streamlined and effective bottle line for their liquid cleaning product. The project, located in Walker, MI, began in November of 2021 with the goal being for BISSELL to gain capacity in the bottling of their liquid cleaning product. This project and goal required the Buist team to rework an existing bottle line while also upgrading the process area where BISSELL creates the product. The new line encompasses an 8,400 square foot area of BISSELL’s Walker facilities.
This project included running a 400-amp 480-volt feed into the remodeled line area, and an additional 800-amp 480-volt feed for the new line. In addition to the new feeds, cable tray and cable were run above the lines to various pieces of equipment, conveyor motors, and photo eyes. These new feeds were beyond the capacity of the existing electrical service in the area, so the owner contracted Buist to upgrade that service on a different contract directly. This project was successful in producing the streamlined and effective bottle line that BISSELL hoped for.
The bulk of this project was completed in November 2022 however, the Buist team continues to service the line in order to fine tune the new process. Buist Electric is thankful to support BISSELL in expanding their capabilities.
