Buist contributed to the successful opening of Burdick’s Bar & Grill, located inside the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo. This project involved remodeling the existing space and installing a new kitchen. The 11,890 sq. ft. restaurant accommodates 348 guests and features private dining options, duckpin bowling, and plenty of screens for game days.

Buist’s Audio Visual Department designed and installed an advanced system featuring thirty-nine Sony Bravia commercial-grade video displays and three Planar® 4K-capable Direct View LED walls. The main dining room’s “wrap-around” video wall measures 5.5′ x 60′, creating an immersive viewing experience. The system is powered by Q-SYS™ control and audio processing, paired with Visionary 4K network audio-video distribution for seamless performance across the venue.

Staff members control audio, lighting, and shades through a custom Buist iPad interface, providing simple, integrated operation. The two private dining rooms feature Barco® ClickShare wireless conferencing systems, Shure intelligent ceiling-array microphones, and Q-SYS™ PTZ cameras to support flexible event and meeting configurations.

Buist’s Communications Department handled structured cabling, while the Security Solutions Department provided video surveillance and access control systems. Our Distributed Antenna System (DAS) team implemented a cellular DAS network to enhance coverage throughout the space.

Work began in December 2024 and wrapped up in September 2025. Buist is proud to have helped create an inviting, technology-rich space for the Kalamazoo community to gather and celebrate.
