Buist partnered with Dan Vos Construction to provide electrical design build services for the new Calvin Theological Seminary Student Housing Center in Grand Rapids. The 4½-story, 67,019 sq.ft. residential facility includes 46 units with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, along with shared indoor and outdoor spaces that support community for students and their families. The project was designed by Integrated Architecture and is located adjacent to the seminary campus.
Buist’s scope of work included generator installation, power distribution, lighting systems, and communications infrastructure. Multiple Buist departments, including Engineering, Testing, Prefabrication, Outdoor Utilities, Communications, and Contracting, collaborated throughout the project. The team also leveraged prefabricated panels assembled in our prefab shop for each apartment to support installation efficiency and quality.
