When Gordon Food Service wanted to consolidate outdated facilities into one central location, they utilized Buist Electric’s Outdoor Utilities Department and Communications Department in addition to the Electrical Contracting team. The new construction project took 20 months to complete and includes two substations that are fully backed up by 1000kw generators through a medium voltage ATS. Raised access floor throughout proved beneficial when the company needed to move offices to increase occupancy by 40%, bringing the number of team members housed in the building from 1100 to 1600.
