Service Express partnered with First Companies to renovate the building that now serves as its national headquarters. Impressed by the quality of Buist Communications’ work during tours of other Buist installations, Service Express chose them to collaborate with Panduit on this six month project.
Notably, this project marked the first North American installation of Panduit’s 100% white infrastructure. Imagine a typical data center, you’re likely picturing rows of black cabinets, filled with black equipment, and a sea of dark cabling. For years, black has been the standard for data center racks and equipment, but this installation challenges that norm.
The shift to white infrastructure offers more than just a cleaner aesthetic. White cabinets and components reflect light, brightening the room and reducing the need for extensive lighting. This not only saves on energy costs but also improves the work environment, making it easier for staff to operate efficiently and reducing the chance of human error.
Service Express has been a leader in data center support solutions since 1993, employing over 400 people and serving more than 3,000 customers. This project was honored with the ABC Excellence in Construction Award for Low Voltage.
