Service Express worked with First Companies to renovate the building that now houses its national headquarters. Service Express was impressed with the quality of the work they had seen while touring other Buist installs, so they chose Buist Communications to partner with Panduit on this 6-month project.
This project has the distinction of being the first North American installation for Panduit using 100% white infrastructure. Picture a standard data center and describe what you see. Chances are, you’re envisioning rows and rows of black cabinets filled with black equipment and a sea of cabling.
Black has been the standard for data center racks and equipment for years, but we’re now learning that is often not the optimum choice. In addition to cleaner aesthetics, white cabinets and the infrastructure that is installed within reflect light, making the room seem brighter and requiring less energy to properly light the data center. This makes the staff more effective and reduces the likelihood of human error, while also saving money in energy costs.
Service Express has provided data center support solutions since 1993. They employ over 400 people, serving 3000+ customers.
This project won the ABC Excellence In Construction Award for Low Voltage.
