Buist is proud to serve as the electrical BIM partner for the new Southridge Behavioral Hospital. This 73,354 sq.ft. project involved nearly every Buist department, including Contracting, Outdoor Utilities, Audio Visual, Communications, Security Solutions, Technology Solutions, Testing, and Engineering.
Our scope of work included comprehensive BIM modeling and coordination, installation of interior and exterior electrical systems, structured cabling for AV and communication systems, and integrated security technologies. Buist also provided outdoor utility infrastructure, engineering support, and testing services to ensure all systems were fully operational. To enhance efficiency, the project leveraged prefabrication techniques and was supported by an on-site safety committee.
In addition to the technical scope, this project provided valuable leadership mentoring opportunities for up-and-coming journeymen and strengthened our ongoing partnership with EV Construction.
Construction began in September 2023 and was completed in April 2025. Buist is honored to contribute to a project that supports the mental health of our community.
