Buist Electric’s Contracting Department completed construction for the newly renovated 3rd floor of the Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building for Corewell Health. This newly updated floor will be used by Corewell for training their current and future medical staff. Corewell staff from the Cook Center now occupy this new 17,685 sq.ft. space, making demolition of their previous building possible. The cleared Cook Center site will become a new ambulatory tower, which Buist Electric is also contracted to complete electrical on. This was an existing space that required quick turnaround due to tight time constraints with the client needing occupancy. The project was completed in just 4 months.
With the completion of this build-out, the Medical Mile of Grand Rapids expands even further. Corewell has been pleased with the final project, resulting in yet another successful project in a long relationship with Corewell Health.
