Buist Electric is proud to have played a role in the construction of The Grand Agriculture Center in Lowell, MI. The new fairgrounds currently contain a show pavilion, 5 livestock barns, a horse arena, and a grain silo inspired ticket booth. More facilities will be built on the property and open later on. This facility was completed in time to host the 89th Annual Kent County Youth Fair earlier this summer. Just a couple weeks before the fair, the community came together for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new fairgrounds.
Buist’s scope of work on this project included installing the medium voltage system and all site lighting. Our team worked with Trademark Electric to coordinate the electrical distribution. Buist installed the fiber network system which will allow for internet connectivity throughout the barns during fairs and events. Additionally, Buist provided speakers throughout the facilities as well as a portable PA system.
In total, the construction of The Grand Agriculture Center took approximately 8 months. We extend our gratitude to the Kent County Youth Agricultural Association for allowing Buist to provide services from our communications, outdoor utilities, and audio-visual departments for the new facility.
