Buist takes pride in being a key contributor to the restoration of the Harbor Grand Hotel, a boutique-style establishment located along the scenic waterfront of New Buffalo, Michigan. Offering a unique blend of “low-key luxury” and personalized service, this hotel has become a cherished destination for guests seeking an exceptional experience.

In 2019, the Harbor Grand Hotel was struck by lightning, resulting in significant fire and water damage. The hotel faced closure for extensive renovation and rebuilding. With an ambitious 10-month construction schedule, involving the demolition and remodeling of 90% of the building, Buist played a vital role in restoring the hotel to its former glory.

Our team handled the electrical, lighting, and data cabling work, working diligently alongside the construction team. We successfully completed the remodeling of various areas, including 50 guest rooms, the indoor pool area, front lobby, restaurant, bar, kitchen, restrooms, and office spaces. Buist met the demanding schedule, allowing the Harbor Grand Hotel to reopen within a year.

Since the reopening, Buist has continued to collaborate with the Harbor Grand Hotel, assisting with various other projects, including the electrical and communications work for the addition of a spa. This ongoing partnership demonstrates our commitment to delivering top-quality services and contributing to the growth and success of our clients.
