5 Lakes Brew Pub has relocated to the Tanger Outlet Mall in Byron Center and the Brewery is now part of Tanger’s outdoor entertainment district.
Buist was contracted to complete all of the electrical, communications, audio visual, and service work for the new 5,400 sq.ft. 5 Lakes. Buist provided a variety of extensive services to 5 Lakes, enabling them to have high-class, easy to use technology that is intuitive to the end user. Buist upgraded the buildings previously existing electrical system, provided network infrastructure, brought power to the new HVAC equipment, upgraded the fire alarm, installed physical security, introduced card access systems, and installed new lighting fixtures and controls.
5 Lakes wanted a state-of-the-art AV system for their new location, so Buist Audio Visual designed a video over IP video distribution system for the 33 monitors located throughout the building. With this system, staff can easily switch between seven cable boxes, three digital signage systems, Michigan Lottery Keno, and the BettorView Sports Betting system using the Crestron touch panel located in the bar area. Buist AV also installed a distributed audio system at 5 Lakes, creating a more immersive dining experience. The system consists of 33 speakers and 8 subwoofers located throughout the restaurant and bar areas. It was installed with multiple streaming music options and has AV inputs for live music performances, pub trivia systems, and karaoke that can be controlled using a Crestron touch panel in the bar area. The new 5 Lakes location has a private dining area, “The Garage”, in which Buist AV installed a 2×2 video wall that can display any of the Video over IP video feeds to the four monitors or combine all of them into a single, large display using a dedicated Crestron touch panel located next to displays. The Garage has a local video input and a dedicated audio system, allowing customers to present and share from their computers.
With this move, 5 Lakes has greatly expanded their menu, offering a wide variety of new foods and beverages while also upgrading the atmosphere, making it the perfect place to watch any sporting event or gather with friends and family.
