Buist Electric provided electrical services to Bronson Healthcare and Acadia Healthcare for the construction of their new shared facility, the Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital in Battle Creek. The single-story, 68,000 square foot mental health hospital replaces a prior mental health building and allows Bronson to expand their patient capacity. The completed project consists of three separate buildings connected by pedestrian walkways and contains a total of 83 licensed beds.
Buist’s communications, audio-visual, outdoor utilities, prefabrication, and contracting departments all contributed to the project’s success. Buist’s scope included a variety of work such as setting up the electrical system, fire detection and alarm system installation, arranging temporary power, exterior light pole setup, and installing the nurse paging system. Additionally, Buist’s engineers utilized building information modeling (BIM) and Trimble during the construction of the Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital. This project started in June of 2022 and finished a year later in June of 2023.
