Buist Electric’s Outdoor Utilities Department has been assisting in building a new athletic complex on Galesburg-Augusta High School’s campus. The new complex will consist of a concessions and restroom building, new synthetic turf field, track, bleachers, and press box. Our team has been tasked with bringing power to the concessions building, press box, scoreboard, and field boxes, and installing stadium, walkway, and parking lot lighting. In addition, Buist Communications and Audio Visual Departments were brought on for point-of-sale (POS) data cabling and press box PA systems.
While the project is still under construction, Buist’s OU team recently finished installing the stadium lighting for the athletic complex. Galesburg-Augusta’s athletic field now boasts four state-of-the-art LED Musco stadium lights with ball tracker technology. These lights, as well as the upcoming additions, will be ready for the Galesburg Augusta Rams by this coming fall, just in time to kick off the fall sports season.
