Buist’s audio visual team partnered with GE Aerospace as a design build provider for the renovation of their assembly and conference rooms at the Norton Shores facility. What began as a design-only engagement evolved into a full build scope, delivering a flexible conferencing environment to support both in-person and remote collaboration.
The renovated space accommodates up to 100 in-room participants while supporting unlimited remote attendees via Microsoft Teams. Designed with flexibility in mind, the room can function as a large-format meeting space or be divided into two independent rooms, each equipped for Bring-Your-Own-Device conferencing.
Completed in January 2026, the project included significant technology upgrades, highlighted by three 136-inch direct-view LED video walls that provide clear sightlines from every seat. All systems are centrally managed through a Q-SYS control platform with a custom user interface deployed on Q-SYS touch panels for intuitive operation.
Additional system components include Q-SYS NV encoders and decoders, Q-SYS PTZ cameras, Netgear AV Line switches, and Powersoft amplifiers, ensuring reliable performance and long-term scalability. A dedicated confidence monitor supports presenters throughout meetings and presentations.
Buist is proud to support GE Aerospace with smart AV design and seamless system integration.
