Buist served as a design build partner alongside Rockford Construction in the 239,046 sq.ft. renovation of the Knapp’s Corner Meijer and Gas Station. This project was completed through a four-phase plan that kept the store operational throughout construction.
The renovations included the addition of a two-lane pharmacy drive-thru and an expansion of the fresh foods area. A new customer service concourse and bottle return were constructed around additional tenant spaces. Buist installed all lighting in the renovated areas, including specialty LED signage. A unique feature of the building was a Skechers digital display, powered by Buist.
Buist’s Contracting Department played a key role in completing the renovation over the course of 14 months and is proud to partner with the Meijer Corporation.
