Buist was a design build partner for the new two-story 56,000 sq.ft. Ottawa County Family Justice Center. Buist’s contracting, outdoor utilities, audio visual, and communications departments were contracted on this project. The team installed all electrical lighting and power, low voltage cabling for data and security, security devices, cameras, sound masking, a paging system, display monitors, and more.
The new Family Justice Center is designed to house all family court services under one roof. Before the construction of this facility, court services were spread throughout the county. With all services in one location, Ottawa County is now better equipped to serve its community while increasing efficiency for employees and attendees. The new justice center features three courtrooms, three hearing rooms, meeting rooms, waiting rooms, detainment space, and administrative offices for juvenile court, probate court, friend of the court, the county clerk, legal self-help, and holding.
