Buist’s Contracting, Security Solutions, and Audio Visual departments partnered with DanVos Construction for the renovation of Dutton United Reformed Church. Buist’s Audio Visual team partnered directly with the church as a Design Build partner on this project. Buist AV installed new speakers, microphones, projectors, a new soundboard, an NDI video distribution system, and a new live streaming setup which includes three PTZ cameras. The Contracting team provided power and new light fixtures, while the Security Solutions team installed security cameras and card access throughout the facility.
Buist aimed to make the electrical work as hidden as possible so that the worship center had a clean feel and simple design. Having the three departments on site was beneficial because it allowed for collaboration on the conduit pathways. The collaboration ensured that AV equipment was as hidden as possible. Two speakers lie behind the transparent cloth next to the projector screens, while the other two are suspended from the ceiling joist for sound reinforcement in the balcony for maximum discretion.
The team began this project in August 2023 and finished in March 2024.
